Face mask with head belt

The Face Mask is an extra-oral orthopedic appliance used for the short-term correction of Class III malocclusion. It applies controlled forces to modify skeletal growth, producing the following effects:

1. Forward displacement of the maxilla (promotes maxillary advancement).
2. Backward displacement of the mandible (restricts mandibular growth).
3. Clockwise rotation of the mandibular plane.
4. Counterclockwise rotation of the maxillary plane.

This appliance is highly effective in growing patients (typically children/adolescents) to improve jaw alignment and facial balance.
